today I saw Jesus at the White Bird.

"God is in the slums, in the cardboard boxes where the poor play house. God is in the silence of a mother who has infected her child with a virus that will end both their lives. God is in the cries heard under the rubble of war. God is in the debris of wasted opportunity and lives, and God is with us if we are with them."

Today I encountered Jesus in the tears shed by those who watched Parable. Grace and redemption came to life.

Today I encountered God in his incredible faithfulness, in the littlest things..such as restoring friendships, strengthening bonds of new friendships, and smiling down on us with bright fall leaves, crisp autumn weather, and delicious spiced cider. God thank you for the sweet things in life :)

Two times today we were completely lost, then some how ended up right where we were aiming for..I encountered God as I realized once again that he cares about the little things in life, such as leading us to sketchy thrift stores and Asian markets-just to bring peace to the potentially stressful situation of being completely lost.

Today I saw Jesus in Brooklyn Kramer's dancing in total abandonment. She heard the music and immediately jumped into the most sporadic, spastic movement I have ever seen, and didn't have a care in the world.

Today it was the spur of the moment "worship time" I had with Seth and Evie where I encountered Jesus. He whispered in my ear that despite the fact that we were fairly lacking in musical ability and song lyrics/chords...he saw our music as a precious and beautiful offering :)

God spoke to me today through my coworker Gloria. I begrudgingly went to work, praying i would make it through the day without any outbursts of tears..and he opened my eyes to see that she was hurting too-due to family issues. I saw him in his heart for her, that he let me experience a glimpse of.

Today I encountered God in the whispering of the wind blowing through the trees. I had to concentrate to hear it, as cars zoomed by in the background, and sometimes the sounds would blend together. However, if I focused hard enough, I heard the distinct whisper of the Lord moving throughout his creation.

Today, I encountered God in the scent of the forest that we drove through on our way to the lake. It was invigorating, rejuvenating, and pure.
